We do not recommend washing the hulls. Water exposure can break down and degenerate the structure of the Buckwheat Hulls.

So how do you properly clean a Buckwheat Pillow?

Step 1: Empty out the Cover. Best is to put the hulls into a buckwheat or bag(if no bucket is available).

Step 2: Turn the Cover inside out to make sue all hulls are removed.

Step 3: Let the Hulls air out for a couple of hours or over night outside if possible.

Step 4: Wash the Cover

Step5: Fill the Hulls into the Cover again

Step6: Happy Sleeping

As you can see it's less work than one might think to clean your buckwheat pillow.

If your hulls become wet by accident, immediately put the pillow outside into the sun for it to dry out.

If you accidentally spill Coffee or other liquids over your pillow, we recommend replacing the hulls. This does not mean you have to buy a new pillow. Refill are available on our website, as well as on plenty of other retailers websites.
