What makes the Hybrid model different?
It offers the best of both worlds. We blend 50% Organic Buckwheat Hulls with 50% Shredded Memory Foam. This creates a pillow that contours and locks in place like traditional buckwheat, but feels softer, lighter, and significantly quieter than a 100% hull pillow.
Does this pillow make noise?
Very little. While pure buckwheat pillows have a distinct "crunching" sound, the memory foam in our Hybrid model acts as a sound dampener. It is approximately 70% quieter than a standard buckwheat pillow, making it ideal for light sleepers.
Does the memory foam make it hot?
Not at all. We use CertiPUR-US® certified foam infused with Activated Charcoal. The charcoal helps regulate temperature and eliminate odors. Combined with the natural airflow of the buckwheat hulls and our breathable Bamboo cover, it stays cool all night.
Can I wash the filling?
No, you cannot wash the hybrid fill (hulls or foam). However, the Bamboo outer cover is fully machine washable. To refresh the filling, we recommend placing the inner bag in direct sunlight for a few hours to naturally sanitize and revitalize the materials.
Is the height adjustable?
Yes. Just like our other premium models, the Hybrid pillow features a durable YKK zipper. The pillow arrives intentionally overstuffed; simply unzip it and remove some of the blend to achieve your perfect loft and spinal alignment.
Why is the size 14" x 20"?
This is the traditional Japanese Plus Size. Because buckwheat-based pillows are denser and heavier than fluff-filled pillows, this compact size ensures the filling stays concentrated under your neck for support, rather than spreading out and flattening.
